LHH is actively seeking a Bankruptcy Specialist for one of our top clients in Irving! This will be a contract to hire opportunity with our client and will initially be onsite at their HQ in Irving, TX.
Bankruptcy Specialist (Proof of Claim)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Specialist to support mortgage bankruptcy operations, with a primary focus on Proof of Claim (POC) preparation and review. This role is responsible for analyzing loan data, validating financial information, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all bankruptcy filings.
Key Responsibilities
Manage an assigned work queue independently, ensuring timely completion of tasks
Review bankruptcy case details using AACER, including bar dates and filing requirements
Analyze mortgage loan data, including payment histories, escrow, corporate advances, and fees
Prepare, review, and quality control Proof of Claim (Form 410) and 410A (Parts 1–5) for accuracy and completeness
Identify and correct errors in filings, documenting updates for management review
Perform data validation and ensure compliance with bankruptcy and investor guidelines
Maintain high standards for accuracy, productivity, and turnaround times
Support additional operational or reporting tasks as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in mortgage bankruptcy, specifically Proof of Claim (POC) and Form 410/410A preparation
Strong understanding of mortgage servicing, including payment histories, escrow analysis, loan documentation, and Chapter 13 plans
Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
