Benefits Admin Specialist – Hybrid | Kearny Mesa, San Diego
A growing company in Kearny Mesa, San Diego is seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Specialist to join their HR team in a hybrid work environment. This role is responsible for supporting employee benefits administration, leave of absence processes, and employee life event changes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and previous HR or benefits administration experience. This position will be a temporary role with an approximate duration of 3–6 months.

Job Duties

  • Generate reports and assist with audits as needed

  • Evaluate, approve, and maintain records of benefit-related requests and transactions

  • Process benefits updates within HRIS systems in a timely and efficient manner

  • Support employee benefits enrollment and provide assistance with coverage selections

  • Assist with benefits billing, reconciliation, and administrative reporting tasks

  • Perform additional administrative HR support duties


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of benefits, HR, or related administrative experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered

  • Experience with HRIS systems such as UKG is a plus

  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel and Outlook

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion


Position Details:

  • Onsite/Hybrid role

  • 3-6 month contract role

  • Compensation: $21.00 per hour

  • Located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego 

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
