LHH is partnering with a construction firm in the Seattle, WA area to search for a temporary Billing Specialist. The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing accurate and timely client billings while ensuring compliance with contractual and project-specific requirements. This role partners closely with internal teams to resolve billing issues, support accounts receivable functions, and maintain consistent billing processes. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of previous experience and preferably come from the construction industry. This will be a long-term contract role that offers a hybrid schedule after training.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit complete billing invoices in accordance with contract terms and project guidelines, including required documentation and portal submissions.
- Review billing details for accuracy and investigate discrepancies; process corrections or adjustments as needed.
- Identify potential billing challenges and collaborate with project teams and internal stakeholders to resolve issues proactively.
- Reconcile contracts, schedules, and billings to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Respond to billing-related inquiries via phone, email, and in person in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date billing procedures and documentation.
- Participate in cross-training efforts to support team coverage and operational continuity.
- At least two years of experience in billing, accounting, or a related administrative role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with contracts, billing systems, and internal portals
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support cross-functional teams
