Cash Application Specialist
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Pay: Up to $22/hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (2 months)

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to support the Finance team on a short-term contract assignment. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations by managing cash applications, resolving discrepancies, and supporting customer service and an offshore team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in precision and follow-through.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and respond to bank correspondence in a timely and accurate manner
  • Review and validate system-generated policyholder refund data
  • Post policyholder payments into the policy administration system
  • Analyze aged accounts receivable balances and assist with write-offs

Support Customer Service with requests including:
  • Voiding and reapplying funds
  • Cash investigations
  • Expedited refunds
  • Credit card voids and chargebacks
  • Voiding and reissuing checks


Address and resolve escalated issues raised by the offshore team
Ensure all work is completed with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (some college preferred)
  • 1–2 years of experience in cash applications or a similar finance-related role
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and reconciliation

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of insurance consumer premium receivables


Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
