Chief Financial Officer

LHH is assisting our Indy global supply chain client in their search for a strategic, hands?on Chief Financial Officer to join the executive leadership team during a period of accelerated growth and operational complexity. The CFO will serve as a trusted business partner to the CEO and COO, owning enterprise?wide financial strategy, governance, and performance across multi?site U.S. and international operations. This role is ideal for a finance leader who enjoys being close to the business—balancing high?level strategy with operational execution in manufacturing, fulfillment, and supply?chain?driven environments. Role Functions:
Enterprise Financial Leadership
- Architect and execute company?wide financial strategy, annual budgets, and multi?year planning
- Provide forward?looking insights to support growth, margin expansion, and capital deployment
Team & Infrastructure
- Build, lead, and mentor a high?performing finance organization (Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax)
- Establish a culture of accountability, partnership, and continuous improvement
- Strengthen financial processes, controls, and reporting cadence
Operations, Cash & Banking
- Oversee monthly close and consolidated financials across U.S. and international entities
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, inventory, and complex customer?specific deal structures
Commercial & Growth Enablement
- Partner with operations and supply chain leaders to improve cost structures, plant/DC performance, and inventory turns
- Lead capital investment evaluation (equipment, automation, facilities, systems) using rigorous ROI/NPV discipline
Governance & External Stakeholders
- Ensure audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls
- Maintain compliance with U.S. and international tax and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; MBA and/or CPA highly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership (CFO, VP Finance, Divisional Finance Leader)
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, 3PL, or supply?chain?intensive businesses
- Multi?site and international operational exposure
- Strategic thinker with hands?on execution capability
- Comfortable operating in fast?growth, privately held environments
- Deep expertise in GAAP, cost accounting, financial modeling, and ERP/WMS ecosystem
