A growing organization in the energy insurance sector is seeking a strategic, hands‑on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all financial operations and partner directly with executive leadership. What You’ll Lead
Own all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and forecasting
Develop and implement financial controls, accounting standards, and compliance practices
Direct monthly/quarterly reporting, annual statements, and financial audits
Partner with leadership to optimize performance, reduce costs, and support business growth
Oversee expense management, GL operations, and financial systems
Lead process improvement and automation initiatives
Manage a team including Controller-level and Accounting functions
Serve as a key contributor to strategic planning and operational decision‑making
Ideal Background
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
Property & Casualty insurance industry experience required (Statutory + GAAP reporting)
Experience in energy, oil & gas, or complex multi‑state environments preferred
Strong background in financial reporting, planning, and expense management
Systems experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, Excel; familiarity with billing workflows
Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of developing and engaging teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly, and influence at all levels
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
