Civil Litigation Defense Paralegal
Salary Range: $70,000–$90,000 (commensurate with experience)

Overview:
LHH has partnered with a growing boutique firm in Chicago to identify an experienced Civil Litigation Defense Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of defense litigation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong litigation support experience and proficiency in Odyssey and PACER filing systems.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive litigation support from case inception through trial
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents
Perform electronic filings via Odyssey and PACER
Manage case calendars, deadlines, and court schedules
Assist with discovery, including document review, production, and coordination
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
Communicate with courts, clients, experts, and opposing counsel
Support trial preparation, including exhibits and witness materials
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of civil litigation defense paralegal experience
Required experience with Odyssey and PACER filings
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules
Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
Preferred:
Experience supporting multiple attorneys
Prior defense-side litigation background
Compensation & Benefits:
