A nationally recognized product liability boutique law firm with 215 attorneys across 17 offices is actively growing and seeking a Trial?Ready Commercial Litigation Defense Paralegal to join its Austin team. The firm is known for defending household?name manufacturers of motor vehicles, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products in high?exposure, technically complex litigation and mass torts nationwide. This year, the firm surpassed its 1,000th trial milestone, reaffirming its status as one of the foremost product liability trial firms in the country.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, edit, and proofread litigation documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and agreements
  • Work closely with attorneys to proactively advance cases and communicate status updates and key needs
  • Assist with all phases of discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and subpoena preparation
  • Support document review and analysis across multiple platforms
  • Manage and organize electronic case files using iManage
  • Assist with trial preparation, including coordinating witnesses, preparing trial subpoenas, organizing and managing exhibits, and attending trial as needed
  • Gather, review, and analyze complex medical records and prepare detailed medical chronologies

  • Comfortable learning new technology and processes
  • Ability to travel nationwide for trial
  • Familiar with client billing guidelines and able to enter accurate time entries

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4+ years of litigation defense experience required (commercial litigation, product liability, mass torts defense experience)
