Overview
A respected Jacksonville law firm is looking to hire a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant to support its litigation team. This full-time role offers long-term growth opportunities within a collaborative and fast-paced legal environment, providing essential support for complex commercial litigation matters.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide direct assistance to multiple litigation attorneys by managing communications with both attorneys and clients regarding case updates and documentation. You’ll review pleadings and correspondence to identify deadlines and required responses, and maintain litigation calendars to track critical dates. Draft legal documents such as motions, notices, subpoenas, and discovery responses; proofread and format appellate briefs and substantive motions; and prepare hearing materials including notebooks and appendices. Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness lists, deposition summaries, and presentation materials, and operate trial presentation software while handling trial logistics. Ensure compliance with court procedures and filing requirements, electronically file documents with state and federal courts, and assist with various general administrative and litigation support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
At least three years of experience in commercial or business litigation, demonstrating strong critical thinking, initiative, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and legal software—Orion and NetDocs experience preferred. The role requires strong organizational abilities, the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and a professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
