Commercial Litigation Paralegal
Charlotte, NC

LHH is partnering with a respected law firm to identify a Commercial Litigation Paralegal for its Charlotte office, supporting the Business Litigation and Employment practice groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and employment‑related filings

  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and experts

  • Review and summarize depositions, personnel files, and discovery materials

  • Assist with trial preparation and support attorneys during trial, including managing electronic presentations, databases, witnesses, and exhibits

  • Manage electronic databases related to e‑discovery and employment records

  • Assist with document productions in litigation and regulatory matters

  • Conduct internet and legal research related to commercial and employment law matters

  • Cite check and Shepardize briefs and memoranda

  • Prepare and manage electronic filings in federal and state courts

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial/business litigation and/or employment law, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience using legal time and billing systems

  • Large‑case management and trial experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with e‑discovery software preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with trial presentation software preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and accommodate urgent requests

  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills

  • Team‑oriented and willing to assist colleagues during peak workload periods

  • Proficiency with federal and state electronic filing systems
