Salary Range: $55,000 – $73,000 annually

About the Role

LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Compliance Specialist to join our client's team in Portland, OR. This full-time, onsite position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations and managing complex funding layers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs, HUD, and Rural Development (RD) funding.


 


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations.
  • Manage and maintain documentation for various funding layers including LIHTC, HUD, and RD.
  • Conduct internal audits and prepare for external compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with property management and development teams to ensure regulatory requirements are met.
  • Stay current on changes in housing regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing reports and submissions for regulatory agencies.
  • Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters.


 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in affordable housing compliance, including LIHTC, HUD, and RD programs.
  • Strong understanding of housing regulations and funding mechanisms.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
