Contract Accounting Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Contract Accounting Manager to support a finance team during a busy season. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys stepping in, taking ownership quickly, and ensuring accounting operations run smoothly. You’ll oversee daily accounting functions, lead the month-end close process, and provide valuable financial insights to leadership.
What You’ll Do
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Oversee and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a leadership/manager role
Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting practices
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $89,000.00 per year
