Controller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently hiring a Controller to supervise the Accounting and Finance team, manage daily accounting activities, prepare and analyze financial reports, and assist with strategic planning and process improvements. This role requires at least 10 years of accounting experience. This role will be on-site in Napa, CA and the anticipated salary is $170,000 -$200,000 annually.

Responsibilities:

·         Lead the Accounting and Financial Reporting team, and provide coaching and guidance

·         Review and approve accounting staff’s work, including payroll, accounts payable, reports, and journal entries

·         Manage daily accounting activities including ledger management and reconciliations

·         Prepare monthly financial reports and communicate insights to management to aid in strategic planning and process improvements

·         Oversee month-end accounting close process

·         Ensure compliance with company policies and standards

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

·         10+ years of accounting experience

·         Solid waste experience preferred

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

·         Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience

·         High attention to detail

·         Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively

·         Excellent leadership skills with experience reviewing work prepared by team members
