A dynamic and rapidly growing organization is seeking a strategic, hands-on Controller to help guide the next phase of growth. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who wants more than a traditional close-the-books role. You'll have a seat at the table, partner directly with executive leadership, influence key business decisions, and help scale the financial infrastructure of a forward-thinking company poised for continued expansion.

We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, embraces change, and enjoys building processes that support growth. The ideal candidate brings a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting experience, exceptional business acumen, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.

  • Prepare and deliver accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

  • Partner with executive leadership to provide actionable financial insights that drive strategic decision-making.

  • Develop, enhance, and scale accounting processes, controls, and reporting capabilities to support continued organizational growth.

  • Manage annual audits, tax compliance activities, and relationships with external auditors and advisors.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain a strong internal control environment.

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in partnership with finance and operational leadership.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and working capital management.

  • Evaluate and implement process improvements, technology solutions, and automation initiatives.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

  • Support acquisitions, integrations, system implementations, and other strategic growth initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • CPA strongly preferred; MBA is highly valued.

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.

  • Prior experience leading accounting teams and developing employees.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit processes.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a growing, evolving business environment.

  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience improving processes, implementing controls, and driving operational efficiencies.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Stable career progression and a demonstrated track record of long-term success with previous employers.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • High visibility role with direct exposure to executive leadership.

  • Opportunity to help shape the future of a growing organization.

  • Significant influence on strategy, operations, and business performance.

  • Collaborative, innovative culture that values new ideas and fresh perspectives.

  • Career growth potential as the organization continues to expand.

  • Ability to make a tangible impact rather than simply maintain the status quo.
