Controller
Our client is an established and growing healthcare company looking for an experienced, hands-on Controller to take on a key leadership role across accounting and finance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both leading a team and staying close to the work, with visibility to senior leadership and the ability to make a real impact.
In this role, you’ll oversee the day-to-day accounting function, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and support revenue cycle operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You’ll also help drive process improvements, partner with cross-functional teams, and serve as a trusted resource to the CFO.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Oversee general ledger accuracy and support AP, AR, payroll, and cash management activities as needed
Partner with billing and revenue cycle teams to support revenue recognition, collections trends, and reimbursement analysis
Manage audit preparation and act as the primary contact for external auditors
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-related requirements
Mentor and guide a small accounting team while remaining actively involved in daily operations
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting timelines, and overall team efficiency
What we’re looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior leadership or supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting operations
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP/accounting systems
Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
A collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset with strong ownership and attention to detail
