Customer Order Processing Associate – Import/Export

Location: Matthews, NC

Pay: $24–$26/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Order Processing Associate with experience in order processing, logistics, shipping, or import/export. This position will coordinate customer orders and domestic/international shipments while working closely with customers, Sales, Manufacturing, freight carriers, and freight forwarders.

Responsibilities

• Process and accurately enter customer orders.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
• Work with freight carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Prepare commercial, customs, and import/export documentation.
• Monitor orders and provide timely shipping and delivery updates.
• Resolve shipping, order, and documentation discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers and internal departments by phone and email.
• Ensure shipping documentation meets applicable requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in order processing, logistics, shipping, or customer service.
• Import/export or international shipping experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of customs and commercial shipping documentation preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
