Job Summary
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Customer Service & Shipping Representative for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role provides excellent customer support while coordinating shipping and order logistics. The position serves as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, deliveries, and product inquiries, and works closely with internal teams and carriers to ensure accurate and timely shipments.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email
Take customer orders and process orders received through portals or email
Resolve customer issues and complaints using a solutions-focused approach
Accurately enter and update customer and order information in company systems
Maintain high customer satisfaction and represent the company positively
Shipping and Order Coordination
Create and manage shipping labels, packing slips, and required documentation
Obtain freight quotes and coordinate shipments with carriers
Schedule shipments and arrange pickups as needed
Track shipments and proactively communicate delays or delivery issues
Verify shipping details for accuracy and compliance with company standards
Assist with shipping-related billing questions and claims
Administrative and Team Support
Maintain organized shipping records and customer documentation
Communicate effectively with sales, warehouse, and production teams
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Contribute to continuous improvement of customer service and shipping processes
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in customer service and/or shipping coordination
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with computers and order or shipping software
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
