We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Specialist job in Greensboro, NC! This is a fully on-site, M-F role with a great company. In this role you are responsible for the end to end management of customer purchase orders, from initial order entry through production, shipment, service and final completion. You are interfacing with Operations, Engineering, Production and Finance to ensure accurate order execution. You must be very detail oriented, team player, not afraid to ask questions. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a customer service capacity.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage customer and intercompany purchase orders from receipt to final completion, including PO review and validation, Accurate order entry in ERP and Salesforce, Work order creation and coordination, Shipment tracking, Delivery confirmation and order closure.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure: Accurate translation of customer requirements into work orders, Feasible production schedules aligned to customer commitments, Timely execution and adherence to ship dates.
Coordinate prioritization and status of in-process customer quotes, sample testing requests, technical requests and other open items.
Participate in weekly planning and sales meetings, providing clear status updates on orders, risks, and delivery timelines.
Communicate any order changes, delays, or risks promptly to internal teams and Sales prior to customer communication.
Serve as a key customer contact for order status, delivery schedules, and product availability.
Proactively provide customers with accurate updates and manage expectations regarding lead times.
Support post-shipment activities, including delivery confirmation, issue resolution, order discrepancies, returns, repairs, or service coordination.
Monitor the movement and status of Carnets and maintain accurate records for international shipments.
Maintain accurate, real-time order and work order data in ERP, Salesforce, and Smartsheet.
Liaise with Finance to ensure orders are properly positioned for revenue recognition and invoicing upon completion.
Support global Specialized Sales team members with customer quotations and open requests, as required.
Manage and coordinate inter-company orders across all regions.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred
At least 2 years of industrial/manufacturing experience in a customer service capacity
ERP experience
Smartsheet experience preferred
Strong communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Flexible, dependable, positive and organized
Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
