Dispatcher – Oil & Gas Operations
Pay: $24.85/hr
Schedule: 8 days on / 6 days off
Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (10 hours/day)
Location: Houston, TX (Old Beaumont Hwy)
About the Role
We’re looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented Dispatcher to support daily oil field operations. In this role, you’ll handle a high volume of inbound calls from operators, enter load information with accuracy, and help route drivers efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and takes pride in doing quality work that keeps operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Take call-ins from operators and enter load information into the dispatch system
Dispatch drivers based on oil production needs and routing priorities
Build and adjust custom routes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Correct driver logs in internal systems
Look up lease numbers, tank numbers, and other data as needed
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly dispatch reports
Coordinate closely with drivers, operators, marketing, and internal teams
Track special instructions, ticket numbers, and compliance items
Handle DOT logs, run tickets, and other office paperwork
Support general office and administrative tasks
Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive operating environment
What We’re Looking For
Strong attention to detail—accuracy is critical
Comfortable spending most of the day on the phone
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Solid routing or logistics experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proficient in Outlook and Excel (must be able to work within existing formulas)
Reliable, steady work habits and strong multitasking ability
Ability to learn multiple systems and follow established processes
High school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment & Schedule
8 days on / 6 days off rotation (built‑in extended time off every cycle)
10-hour shifts, eating at the desk
Weekend and holiday work is required unless it falls on scheduled days off
Team-oriented environment with long-tenured dispatchers
Training provided by experienced team members on shift
