Senior Docketing Clerk (Litigation)
Location: Los Angeles, Century City, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Dallas, Chicago, Washington D.C.
Salary: $95,000 – $130,000 (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, Hybrid
A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Docketing Clerk to support its litigation teams. This is a high-impact role requiring strong knowledge of court rules, deadline management, and multi-jurisdictional calendaring, with a focus on California courts.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage litigation docketing and calendaring, including deadline calculations
Review filings and correspondence; identify and calendar all applicable deadlines
Coordinate and update attorney calendars to ensure accuracy and visibility of deadlines
Generate and distribute docketing and deadline reports
Research federal, state, appellate, and local court rules, including judge-specific procedures
Support electronic and physical filings in compliance with court requirements
Communicate with attorneys, staff, courts, and vendors regarding filings and deadlines
Troubleshoot and resolve docketing discrepancies, updates, and corrections
Ensure filings and calendaring align with applicable court rules and procedures
Maintain attorney e-filing credentials across jurisdictions
Qualifications
7+ years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm or legal environment
Strong knowledge of California court rules and deadline calculations
Required experience with docketing systems (e.g., CompuLaw, CourtAlert, Milana or similar)
Required experience with e-filing platforms (e.g., PACER, TrueFiling, One Legal, First Legal)
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree preferred
