Event Support Staff
Duration: 6-Month Contract
Pay: $20–$25/hour DOE
Hours: 25–30 hours/week (including evenings and weekends)
Location: Based in Portland and Portland's Metro area
LHH Recruitment is seeking reliable, hardworking Event Support Staff member to assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of live events such as festivals, street fairs, educational events, and similar productions. This is a 6?month contract role ideal for candidates who enjoy physical, hands-on work and thrive in fast-paced environments.
You will support our client's fun team! This team is responsible for community engagement, sponsorship, and internal recognition.
Schedule
- Approximately 25–30 hours per week
- Schedule will include early mornings, late nights, evenings, and weekends
- Frequent local travel and on-site field work required
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with event production setup and teardown, including tents, equipment, and materials
- Load, unload, and move boxes, supplies, and event infrastructure
- Drive company vehicles, including larger vehicles, to and from event sites
- Support on-site operations during events, including continuous movement and problem-solving in the field
- Follow safety procedures and support the event team to ensure smooth execution
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license required (must be comfortable driving company vehicles)
- Prior experience with event production/execution, festivals, street fairs, or live events strongly preferred
- Restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience is a plus
- Ability to lift items, perform physical labor, and be on your feet for extended periods
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including nights and weekends
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
