A leading industrial organization is seeking a Facility Engineer to support plant operations by ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of critical systems. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving complex equipment issues, and has a strong foundation in reliability and maintenance engineering.

This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, optimizing system performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and optimize plant utility systems including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, HVAC, and water treatment systems

  • Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and implement long-term corrective actions to improve equipment reliability

  • Manage critical spare parts strategy, including inventory optimization, vendor coordination, and BOM development within CMMS

  • Partner with maintenance and operations teams to enhance preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot failures, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred

  • 3–7 years of experience in facility engineering, utilities, maintenance, or reliability engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment

  • Hands-on experience with CMMS platforms (SAP, Maximo, eMaint, Fiix, etc.) and strong understanding of reliability tools such as 5-Whys, FMEA, or fault tree analysis

  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical drawings, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Location: Wilton, CT - Onsite M-F

Salary: $105-120K yearly
