FP&A Analyst
Accounting & Finance
A Columbus-based organization is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join its finance team on a contract basis. This role will support budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting initiatives while partnering with business leaders to provide actionable financial insights. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with large data sets to drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Assist with annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
Prepare financial models, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
Analyze business performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial results.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Partner with department leaders to monitor spending, forecast results, and support financial decision-making.
Compile and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data from multiple sources.
Support month-end close activities and collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting.
Assist with special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, financial modeling, and data analysis.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Pay Details: $34.00 to $50.00 per hour
