GL Staff Accountant

LHH is seeking a skilled General Ledger Staff Accountant to join a leading service company in Fort Worth, TX. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with experience in general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, month-end close processes, journal entries, and cost accounting. In this role, you’ll contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting and assist with various financial activities across the organization. This position is in office and offers a salary range of $55-65K depending on experience.
Position Summary
As a General Ledger Accountant, you’ll join a collaborative team responsible for producing precise financial statements, managing state sales tax remittances, and preparing other essential accounting-related reports.
Essential Functions
Reconcile balance sheet and income statements for accurate reporting.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Conduct thorough monthly gross margin reviews.
Assist with month end close and journal entries
Prepare additional accounting reports and participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: 0-2+ years experience.
Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred: Strong background in general ledger, accounts receivable, month-end close, journal entries, and cost accounting.
