About the Organization

We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization committed to serving our community through sustainable programs and strategic funding partnerships. We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to support and expand our funding portfolio across public and private sources.

Position Summary

The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, submitting, and managing grant proposals and reports to secure funding from federal, state, county, city, and private sources. This role requires a strong understanding of public-sector regulations, compliance requirements, and proven success in grant development. The position is based on-site in our Mid-City Los Angeles office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and evaluate grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities

  • Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of intent, and supporting documentation

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, county, and city regulations and funding guidelines

  • Manage grant timelines, deadlines, and reporting requirements

  • Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to gather data, budgets, and narratives

  • Track grant outcomes and maintain accurate grant records

  • Support post-award reporting and renewal submissions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional grant writing experience

  • Demonstrated success securing grant funding

  • Experience with nonprofit and public-sector funding sources, including federal, state, county, and city grants

  • Strong knowledge of grant compliance, regulations, and reporting requirements

  • Excellent writing, editing, and research skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with diverse funding agencies and stakeholders

  • Familiarity with nonprofit program budgeting and evaluation metrics

Compensation: $65,000 to $85,000

Benefit offerings: include medical, dental, vision, additional voluntary benefits, 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
