LHH is partnering with a growing, people-focused organization in the Portland metro area to hire an HR Generalist who will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, employee experience initiatives, and organizational growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on across multiple areas of Human Resources while partnering closely with leadership and employees alike.
This position offers a collaborative environment, strong leadership visibility, and the opportunity to contribute to both strategic initiatives and daily HR operations.
This is a hybrid position based in the Portland, OR area. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a targeted base salary range of $95,000-$110,000, plus comprehensive benefits.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Support day-to-day HR operations across employee relations, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and performance management
Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation to create a positive employee experience
Assist with employee engagement initiatives, culture-building efforts, and retention strategies
Support recruitment efforts including scheduling, candidate communication, and onboarding coordination
Maintain and update employee records, HRIS systems, and personnel documentation
Partner on leave administration, accommodations, and benefits-related processes
Assist with performance review cycles, employee development initiatives, and training coordination
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
Support HR projects and process improvement initiatives as the organization continues to grow
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or broad HR support capacity
Experience supporting multiple HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, benefits, and compliance
Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
Experience working with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
PHR, SHRM-CP, or related certification is a plus
