LHH is recruiting a Business Immigration Paralegal for the Cleveland Office of a regional law firm.  This position is 90% remote.  The business immigration paralegal prepares nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN, O-1) and immigrant (PERM, I-140, EB-1, I-485) visa petitions for corporate clients under attorney supervision. They manage high-volume caseloads, liaise between foreign nationals and government agencies (USCIS, DOL), prepare legal documentation, and ensure compliance with immigration regulations. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Petition Preparation: Draft and file complex nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions (H-1B, L-1, PERM, I-140, I-485).
  • Case Management: Manage high-volume, deadline-driven caseloads using immigration software.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary contact for foreign nationals and HR managers, explaining legal processes and gathering documentation.
  • Document Preparation: Draft comprehensive support letters, legal forms, and affidavits.
  • Research & Tracking: Track regulatory changes, monitor processing times, and conduct research on complex immigration issues. 
     
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (required by many firms) and a paralegal certificate.
  • Experience: Generally 1–3 years of specialized business immigration experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and immigration case management systems (INSZoom, LawLogix, Cerenade).
  • Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under strict deadlines.
