Import Specialist (Supply Chain)

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (On-Site)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: $66,000 – $70,000 annually (up to ~$33/hour)

Position Overview

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Import Specialist to support a busy supply chain and logistics operation. This role plays a critical part in managing inbound shipments, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with import regulations.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-heavy environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and coordinate inbound shipments and containers in a high-volume environment

• Review and process import documentation, including FDA-related paperwork

• Partner with customs brokers, steamship lines, and third-party logistics providers

• Monitor inventory flow and container tracking systems

• Support receiving processes in collaboration with supply chain team members

• Handle accounts receivable tasks related to freight, demurrage, and vendor disputes

• Collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, warehouse, and finance teams

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or import/export coordination

• Experience in food manufacturing or a regulated environment preferred (FDA exposure is a strong plus)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced setting

• Experience working with customs brokers, freight carriers, or 3PLs preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel experience is helpful but not heavily required

Systems & Tools

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Project44 (or similar tracking systems)

• Internal logistics and financial systems (training provided)
