The LHH is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client located near Elkhart, Indiana. This is a newly created position due to business growth where you will have the opportunity to join a well-established organization committed to operational excellence, efficiency, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, complete key capital projects, improve workflow, and support sustained growth. The compensation is commensurate to experience and will range between $90,000-112,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive benefit and insurance plans, generous Paid Time Off, and a 401K plan with a company match.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and optimize production workflows to improve safety and operational efficiency
Develop and maintain efficient facility layouts that support efficient material flow throughout the facility
Analyze manpower, FTEs, and establish SOPs that improve productivity and consistency
Evaluate current processes to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate inefficiencies
Ensure processes are flexible to support future production changes
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and apply Lean methodologies where applicable
Partner with operations and engineering teams to support the continued development and transformation of process optimization initiatives
Prepare cost analyses and justify investments for process improvements
Track and evaluate equipment utilization and production performance metrics
Support the transition to automated processes and equipment
Manage engineering and capital projects projects to ensure alignment with timing and budget expectations
Create reports and present on project statuses to the leadership team
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering is required
Minimum of 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience within the manufacturing industry is required
Must have 2+ years of experience leading continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives within a manufacturing facility
Must have the ability to design, edit, and optimize production processes and facility layouts
Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ideal candidates will have experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
Effective communication skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
Collaborative mindset with a hands-on approach to engineering challenges
