Job Title: Leave of Absence Administrator
Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) based in Portland, OR
Compensation: $25 – $30 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Contract Duration: 2-month contract with potential for extension
Position Summary
LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Leave of Absence Administrator to support our HR operations by managing employee leave programs. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws while providing a positive employee experience throughout the leave lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage all types of leave requests, including FMLA, ADA, disability, and personal leaves.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of leave status, documentation, and communications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, including timely documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate processing of leave-related compensation and benefits.
- Monitor leave timelines and proactively follow up on return-to-work plans and extensions.
- Provide regular updates and reports to HR leadership on leave trends and case statuses.
- Assist in the development and refinement of leave-related policies and internal documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience processing leaves or supporting benefits and leave programs.
- Strong understanding of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA and ADA.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience with HRIS or leave management systems preferred.
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
