Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our client's Legal Administrative Assistant team. This role is crucial in supporting the attorneys and paralegals through in various practice areas. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing schedules, handling correspondence, organizing case files, conducting research, and preparing legal documents. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic setting are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and legal staff by managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and ensuring important deadlines and tasks are effectively tracked.
Draft, format, and proofread correspondence, including legal documents, letters, memos, and internal communications.
Maintain and organize legal files—both electronic and physical—ensuring documents are properly labeled, stored, and updated for easy retrieval.
Conduct basic research on legal topics, procedures, and administrative requirements to support daily operations.
Assist in preparing, editing, and reviewing legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational or regulatory standards.
Support billing processes, time entry, and other routine administrative functions as required.
Serve as a communication point between attorneys, clients, external partners, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient information sharing.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in business litigation or similar legal roles is highly desirable.
Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities with a focus on precision.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to grammar, punctuation, and style.
Proficient in proofreading to ensure documents are error-free.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently in a dynamic environment.
Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Employment type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: up to $65,000 annually

Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
