LHH is seeking an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant to join a respected firm in Orlando, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience supporting attorneys in insurance defense matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling insurance defense cases.

  • Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and correspondence.

  • File documents with state and federal courts through electronic filing systems.

  • Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and related documents.

  • Track deadlines, manage attorney calendars, and coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.

  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

  • Prepare and maintain reports, summaries, and case updates.

Qualifications:

  • 2–3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in insurance defense required.

  • Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and filing procedures.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case/document management software.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.

Location: Orlando, FL (onsite role)
