LHH is seeking an Insurance Defense Legal Assistant to join a respected firm in Orlando, FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience supporting attorneys in insurance defense matters.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support to attorneys handling insurance defense cases.
Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and correspondence.
File documents with state and federal courts through electronic filing systems.
Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and related documents.
Track deadlines, manage attorney calendars, and coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
Prepare and maintain reports, summaries, and case updates.
Qualifications:
2–3+ years of experience as a legal assistant in insurance defense required.
Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and filing procedures.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case/document management software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
Location: Orlando, FL (onsite role)
