Legal Assistant / Paralegal (Contract-to-Hire Potential)

Location: Albuquerque, NM (Hybrid potential)
Pay Rate: $70K–$85K annually DOE
Schedule: Through end of 2025, Full-Time Hours
Start Date: ASAP

Are you a detail-oriented legal professional with a background in contracts, IP, or corporate legal support? We’re seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team on a long-term contract or contract to hire basis. This is a unique opportunity to support high-impact legal operations.

What You’ll Do:

  • NDA Administration: Manage non-disclosure agreements and related documentation (approx. 5 hrs/week)
  • Field Issue Management: Track and follow up on reported issues, coordinating with internal teams to assess liability and ensure resolution (approx. 15 hrs/week)
  • Legal Task Coordination: Support the General Counsel by managing incoming legal requests, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion (approx. 3 hrs/week)
  • Contract Review & Compliance: Conduct first-level review of proposed changes to company templates, ensuring alignment with contract playbooks (approx. 5 hrs/week)
  • IP Coordination: Liaise with outside IP counsel and maintain accurate records in IPFolio (approx. 3 hrs/week)
  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Monitor and tag contracts for termination, extension, or renewal; ensure proper storage and documentation (approx. 5 hrs/week)
  • Litigation & Claims Support: Organize files and assist with active litigation and insurance claims (approx. 2 hrs/week)
  • Workflow Development: Help build and refine legal task workflows and templates (variable hours)

What You Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • Experience with contract administration, NDA processing, or IP coordination is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with legal task tracking tools and document management systems (e.g., IPFolio)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Paralegal certification is a plus, but not required
