Job Title: Legal Biller
Location: Downtown Los Angeles (Hybrid)
Compensation: $75,000 – $80,000 annually

 

About the Firm:

Our client, a well-established law firm located in Downtown Los Angeles, is seeking a Legal Biller to join their accounting team. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and prior experience billing in a law firm environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, edit, and process client invoices in accordance with attorney guidelines and client billing requirements

  • Review and revise prebills, including narrative edits, rate adjustments, and write-ups/write-downs

  • Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and outside counsel guidelines

  • Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing issues and discrepancies

  • Submit invoices electronically through client billing portals (e.g., Legal Tracker, CounselLink, TyMetrix, etc.)

  • Monitor billing deadlines and ensure timely invoice submission

  • Assist with billing-related reports and special projects as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of legal billing experience within a law firm

  • Strong knowledge of legal billing processes, terminology, and client guidelines

  • Experience with legal billing software (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar)

  • Familiarity with e-billing platforms required

  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and follow-up skills



Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
