Legal Secretary - Commercial Litigation

In-office: 4 days per week | Remote: 1 day (typically Monday or Friday)
Fixed hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM (37.5?--hour workweek)
LHH is working with a well established Seattle office who's seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support a commercial litigation team. This role is a backfill due to retirement and offers long-term stability, Big Law-level resources, and a collaborative, low-ego office environment.
Role Overview
Support ~5 attorneys (partners and associates) across multiple jurisdictions
Prepare, proof, and file litigation documents in state and federal courts
Manage deadlines, calendars, docketing, and court requirements
Format pleadings, including TOAs/TOCs and cour-specific rules
Assist with filings, time entries, pre-bills, expense reports, CLE tracking, and travel
Coordinate with internal business, conflicts, and billing teams
Provide backup coverage for other secretaries as needed
Must-Have Qualifications
Strong understanding of the litigation lifecycle
Ability to juggle different work styles and personalities with professionalism
High sense of urgency, accountability, flexibility, and resourcefulness
Comfortable learning new systems and platforms
Experience with multi-jurisdiction litigation required
California filings are a plus, not required
Preferred Experience
5+ years as a Legal Secretary (Big Law experience a plus)
Federal and state e-filing experience
Advanced Word skills and familiarity with document management systems
Tools experience such as Acrobat, NetDocs, timekeeping and expense platforms is helpful

Medical: Multiple plan tiers; full-time rates from $0–$219 (single) to $216–$1,064 (family).
PTO: (20 days) prorated in the year of hire, paid holidays (10 days)
