Legal Secretary – Commercial Litigation
About the Opportunity
LHH has partnered with a well‑established national law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support partners and associates in a Commercial Litigation practice group. This role supports five or more attorneys across multiple jurisdictions and offers the structure of Big Law with a collaborative, people‑first office culture.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare, proof, and process litigation documents including subpoenas, complaints, motions, and other pre‑trial filings
Perform state and federal e‑filing and stay current on court rules and procedures
Format pleadings, including Tables of Authorities (TOAs) and Tables of Contents (TOCs)
Manage docketing, deadlines, and attorney calendars
Organize exhibits, briefs, and trial preparation materials
Coordinate depositions, meetings, travel, CLEs, and internal scheduling
Assist with new matter intake, engagement letters, conflicts, and billing support
Maintain court admissions, Pro Hac Vice filings, and login credentials
Provide back‑up coverage to other legal secretaries as needed
Support expense processing and administrative tasks
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary in litigation (Big Law experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of state and federal court filing systems
Prior experience with California filings is preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (styles, track changes, document comparison)
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments)
Familiarity with time entry and expense systems preferred
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Washington State Notary is a plus
Job Details
Location: Seattle, WA
Work Model: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 remote day per week)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (37.5‑hour workweek)
Pay Range: $76,000–$115,000 annually (DOE)
