Paralegal – Litigation & Business: Salem, OR
About the Opportunity
LHH has partnered with a great firm who is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support its Litigation and General Business practice groups in Salem, OR. This is a collaborative role working closely with attorneys and clients across a variety of matters, including litigation, business transactions, contracts, and real estate.
The firm fosters a supportive, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on client service—no formal billable hour requirement. Performance is recognized through spot bonuses, which can add up to significant additional earnings over time.
Work Environment
Primarily onsite in Salem, OR; up to 2 remote days/week available
Casual, collaborative office culture (jeans permitted except for client-facing days)
Paralegals typically support 2 attorneys
Upcoming office expansion in early 2027
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and format pleadings, contracts, correspondence, and legal documents
Prepare and file court documents, including state and federal e-filings
Manage case files, deadlines, and calendars to ensure efficient workflow
Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties
Assist with discovery, document organization, and production
Support attorneys with hearings, mediations, depositions, trials, and closings
Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality client service
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant
Experience in litigation, business law, or transactional work preferred (flexible on background)
Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management tools
Paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly compensation based on experience: $34 - $40+ per hour depending on experience
