Litigation Legal Assistant

LHH is assisting a well-established Nashville law firm in its search for a Paralegal / Legal Assistant with a combination of transactional and litigation experience. This hybrid role will support attorneys across a variety of practice areas, including civil litigation, commercial transactions, estate and business planning, tax planning and tax controversy, estate administration and fiduciary litigation, legal malpractice defense, real estate matters, and Rule 31 mediations.
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with transactional matters such as contract review, corporate filings, estate planning documents, and due diligence
Provide litigation support, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, coordinating depositions, hearings, and trial preparation
Maintain organized case and client files, calendars, and deadlines across multiple practice areas
Coordinate communications with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel
Assist attorneys with real estate matters, tax documentation, estate administration, and fiduciary litigation as needed
Support mediations, closings, and other client-facing matters
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant with a mix of transactional and litigation experience
Exposure to one or more of the following: civil litigation, commercial transactions, estate and business planning, tax matters, real estate, or fiduciary litigation
Knowledge of Tennessee state and federal court procedures for litigation support
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal document management systems, and e-filing platforms
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
Hybrid schedule (combination of in-office and remote work)
Nashville, TN office location
