Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 DOE

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a reputable Denver law firm to identify an experienced Legal Assistant to join their team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical negligence and general liability defense and thrive in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide proactive administrative and litigation support to attorneys and paralegals
Prepare, proof, and e-file pleadings, discovery, and correspondence in state and federal courts
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings, and monitor all deadlines
Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
Draft routine legal documents and correspondence; assist with case preparation and trial support
Process mail, billing requests, and reimbursements while prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant supporting litigation attorneys, preferably in medical malpractice or insurance defense
Strong understanding of state and federal court filing procedures (Colorado experience required; New Mexico a plus)
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with billing and document management systems preferred
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Typing speed of 65+ WPM required
Post-secondary education or coursework in legal studies preferred
