Litigation Paralegal – Complex Litigation (Business, Labor & Employment)
Location: Irvine, CA
Schedule: Primarily onsite (4 days/week after first 90 days)
Work Week: 37.5 hours
Compensation: $75,000 - $103,000 DOE
Overview
A mid-to-large sized law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support complex litigation matters, including business and labor & employment cases. This role requires strong experience in both state and federal court procedures, as well as the ability to manage case workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Draft and prepare legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery, and pleadings
File and serve documents in state and federal courts (CM/ECF, File & Serve)
Conduct legal research to support litigation strategy
Support eDiscovery processes, including document review, coding, productions, and database management (Relativity)
Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
Manage case files, including organization of pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
Track deadlines and maintain case calendars
Prepare binders and materials for hearings and trial
Proofread and cite-check legal documents for accuracy and compliance
Communicate with clients and counsel regarding case updates
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
5–15 years of litigation paralegal experience in a mid- or large-sized law firm
Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and rules of evidence
Experience with CM/ECF, Relativity, and legal research platforms (LexisNexis, Westlaw)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Billable requirement: 1,500 hours annually
