Litigation Paralegal – Complex Litigation (Business, Labor & Employment)

Location: Irvine, CA
Schedule: Primarily onsite (4 days/week after first 90 days)

Work Week: 37.5 hours

Compensation: $75,000 - $103,000 DOE

Overview

A mid-to-large sized law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support complex litigation matters, including business and labor & employment cases. This role requires strong experience in both state and federal court procedures, as well as the ability to manage case workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery, and pleadings

  • File and serve documents in state and federal courts (CM/ECF, File & Serve)

  • Conduct legal research to support litigation strategy

  • Support eDiscovery processes, including document review, coding, productions, and database management (Relativity)

  • Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation

  • Manage case files, including organization of pleadings, discovery, and correspondence

  • Track deadlines and maintain case calendars

  • Prepare binders and materials for hearings and trial

  • Proofread and cite-check legal documents for accuracy and compliance

  • Communicate with clients and counsel regarding case updates

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred

  • 5–15 years of litigation paralegal experience in a mid- or large-sized law firm

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and rules of evidence

  • Experience with CM/ECF, Relativity, and legal research platforms (LexisNexis, Westlaw)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Billable requirement: 1,500 hours annually
