Litigation Secretary
Location: Costa Mesa, CA (Onsite 4 days/week, 1 day remote)
Schedule: 37.5-hour work week
Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 DOE

A top-tier Am Law 100 firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to support a busy litigation practice. This firm is known for its strong culture, low turnover, and long-term employee retention. They value quality work product, professionalism, and stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to 3–4 attorneys

  • Draft, format, and revise legal documents (pleadings, discovery, correspondence)

  • Handle e-filing in California state and federal courts

  • Manage calendars, deadlines, and court filings

  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, trials, and litigation logistics

  • Prepare client materials and maintain organized case files

  • Assist with expense reports, time entry, and travel coordination


Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of litigation legal assistant/secretary experience

  • Strong experience with state and federal e-filing (CA courts required)

  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills


Preferred Experience

  • IP Litigation experience highly preferred

  • Also open to Business Litigation, Complex Litigation, or Insurance Defense backgrounds

  • Mid-to-large law firm experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with docketing systems and client management databases (e.g., CRM tools)
