Location: Milwaukee Metro

Employment Type: Full‑Time | On‑Site - No relocation or visa sponsorship

I’m partnering confidentially with a well‑established, growing metal fabrication company in the Milwaukee metro area to identify a Cost Estimator with experience in stamping and/or fabricated metal components.

This organization has a long history in southeastern Wisconsin and offers a family‑oriented culture, strong safety focus, and a hands‑on training environment. Employees are encouraged to expand their skills across manufacturing, tooling, and engineering, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys learning and growing within a stable operation.

🔹 The Role

The Cost Estimator is responsible for developing accurate part and tooling quotes for metal stamping and fabrication projects. Using customer prints and specifications as the primary inputs, this role works cross‑functionally to build detailed cost models that support competitive and profitable quoting.

🔹 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop accurate manufacturing steps, bills of material, and labor estimates using quoting software

  • Use manufacturing and process knowledge to build reliable cost models

  • Manipulate customer‑supplied CAD data to estimate material usage, tooling concepts, and manufacturing approach

  • Select standard tooling and tooling methods based on manufacturing requirements

  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to define quote details

  • Determine quote class and priority to allocate appropriate time and resources

  • Participate in feasibility reviews and incorporate findings into quote packages

🔹 What They’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of quoting experience in stamping and/or fabrication OR 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience

  • Ability to read blueprints; GD&T knowledge preferred

  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)

  • Familiarity with material types and properties

  • Knowledge of post‑manufacturing operations such as plating, painting, or heat treat is a plus

  • Experience with Paperless Parts or similar quoting software preferred

  • Strong computer skills, organization, and ability to prioritize and multitask

🔹 Why This Opportunity

  • Stable, growing manufacturing company with deep local roots

  • Hands‑on training and development opportunities

  • Exposure to tooling, dies, and engineering concepts

  • Supportive, family‑style culture with a strong safety focus

  • Opportunity to grow long‑term with the organization
