Location: Phoenix, AZ 85018 (Fully Onsite)
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 annually (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Full-time | Flexible Start & End Times
Reports To: Director of Revenue Cycle Management

About the Opportunity

Our client is a rapidly growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead a team within their Revenue Cycle Management department. Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the AR operations for a large Texas-based market generating approximately $100 million in annual revenue. This individual will directly manage a team of 5 AR professionals while partnering with leadership to improve collections performance, reporting, automation initiatives, and overall revenue cycle effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 5 Accounts Receivable professionals
  • Oversee AR operations for a state generating approximately $100M in annual revenue
  • Monitor and improve collections performance, aging accounts, and reimbursement trends
  • Analyze AR data and reporting to identify opportunities for process improvement and revenue recovery
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions to build reports, analyze performance metrics, and support decision-making
  • Partner with RCM leadership on automation, workflow improvements, and operational efficiencies
  • Coach and mentor team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated billing and collections issues
  • Maintain accurate reporting and communicate key performance metrics to leadership

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of leadership experience within healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, or accounts receivable
  • Experience overseeing healthcare revenue portfolios of at least $10M+
  • Strong understanding of medical accounts receivable, insurance collections, denials, and reimbursement processes
  • Advanced Excel skills, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • VLOOKUPs
    • Formulas and reporting
  • Experience in Pediatrics, Home Health, Private Duty Nursing, or similar healthcare environments preferred
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive results, and implement process improvements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and confidently
  • Bachelor's degree not required
