Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Advisor Assistant to support the Office of Academic Advising during a system implementation period. This part-time contract role will focus on maintaining daily administrative and student service operations, ensuring continuity while internal staff participate in project-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Academic Advising team
Serve as a primary point of contact for student inquiries via email, phone, and in person
Assist with course registration processes, data entry, and record maintenance
Perform general office tasks including scheduling, documentation, and file management
Support ongoing projects by documenting procedures and maintaining organized records
Monitor and track student information using internal systems such as Banner and DegreeWorks
Identify and escalate administrative issues or unusual cases to internal team members
Maintain consistent service levels and support overall office efficiency
Qualifications
Prior administrative or office support experience required
Experience working with databases or student information systems strongly preferred (Banner a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
