Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist to join our accounting team in Pico Rivera. This individual will be responsible for accurately processing and posting incoming customer payments, maintaining account records, and researching payment discrepancies. The ideal candidate has previous experience with high-volume payment processing and strong data entry and reconciliation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and post incoming customer payments, including checks, ACH, and electronic payments.

• Accurately apply payments to the appropriate customer accounts and outstanding invoices.

• Review remittance information to ensure payments are applied correctly.

• Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and short payments.

• Reconcile daily payment batches and verify posting accuracy.

• Maintain accurate payment records and supporting documentation.

• Communicate with internal departments to resolve account and payment-related issues.

• Assist with additional accounts receivable duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in payment posting, cash applications, accounts receivable, or related accounting functions.

• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Additional Details

• $22.00–$23.50 per hour, depending on experience.

• 7:00 AM start time.

• Fully onsite in Pico Rivera.

• 90-day contract assignment.
