LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a rapidly growing organization to identify a Payroll & Benefits Administrator. This role is essential in ensuring smooth, accurate payroll processing and a positive employee experience through effective benefits administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

Position Summary:

The Payroll & Benefits Administrator will oversee end-to-end payroll operations while managing employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This individual will serve as a key resource for employees and collaborate closely with HR leadership to maintain efficient and compliant processes.

 

Pay: $70,000 - $85,000 (Based on Experience)

Location: Sacramento, CA

Work Type: Direct Hire, Fully Onsite

Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

 

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Process payroll on a regular schedule with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws

  • Maintain payroll records, audits, and reporting documentation

  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, providing timely support to employees

Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits programs including enrollments, updates, and terminations

  • Reconcile benefits billing and ensure accuracy across vendors

  • Act as a point of contact for employee questions related to benefits offerings

  • Support open enrollment and ongoing benefits communication initiatives

Compliance & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date employee records in alignment with company policies and legal requirements

  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders and external agencies

  • Assist with audits and ensure documentation is audit-ready at all times

Employee Support & Experience

  • Provide responsive, professional support to employees regarding payroll and benefits inquiries

  • Partner with HR to enhance processes and improve overall employee experience

  • Contribute to a collaborative and service-focused team environment

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, or HR administration

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and regulations

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels

Preferred:

  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as Paylocity or similar platforms

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus

  • Experience in a multi-entity or high-growth environment

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
