We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Coordinator near Coldwater, MI to join a team. This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely employee payments. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while partnering cross-functionally with HR and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and support full-cycle payroll for employees on a weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly basis

  • Review and audit timesheets, wage calculations, and payroll data for accuracy

  • Validate employee hours worked, pay adjustments, and deductions prior to processing

  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including status changes and compensation details

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries

  • Coordinate payroll-related activities such as garnishments, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings

  • Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

  • Partner with HR to ensure accurate onboarding, offboarding, and employee data updates

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of payroll, HR, or accounting experience

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting

  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Dayforce, UKG, or similar)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing

  • Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll-related compliance

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field



Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
