Payroll Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Coordinator near Coldwater, MI to join a team. This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely employee payments. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while partnering cross-functionally with HR and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and support full-cycle payroll for employees on a weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly basis
Review and audit timesheets, wage calculations, and payroll data for accuracy
Validate employee hours worked, pay adjustments, and deductions prior to processing
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including status changes and compensation details
Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll-related inquiries
Coordinate payroll-related activities such as garnishments, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings
Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Partner with HR to ensure accurate onboarding, offboarding, and employee data updates
Qualifications:
2+ years of payroll, HR, or accounting experience
Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and reporting
Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Dayforce, UKG, or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multi-state payroll processing
Familiarity with benefits administration and payroll-related compliance
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field
Pay Details: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour
