LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Payroll Implementation Consultant who will be responsible for leading and supporting the end-to-end implementation of payroll systems. This role partners closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate system configuration, data integrity, compliance, and a smooth transition to new payroll platforms. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Workday and/or other payroll systems and a strong understanding of payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead payroll system implementations from project kickoff through go-live and post?implementation support

  • Gather and document client payroll requirements, business processes, and compliance needs

  • Configure payroll systems (Workday and/or other platforms) to align with client specifications

  • Manage payroll data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and third-party vendors throughout the implementation lifecycle

  • Develop and execute testing plans, including parallel payroll testing and issue resolution

  • Provide client training, documentation, and ongoing implementation support

  • Identify risks, track project milestones, and ensure deadlines are met

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll implementation, payroll operations, or payroll consulting

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll strongly preferred; experience with other payroll systems (ADP, UKG, Ceridian, Paychex, etc.) acceptable

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax reporting, and wage and hour compliance

  • Experience with system configuration, data conversion, and payroll testing

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and client-facing skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Hours:

  • 9:00am-5:00pm

  • Monday through Friday

Pay Details: $65.00 to $80.00 per hour
