LHH Recruitment Solutions partnered up with an excellent organization in the Jericho, Long Island area to assist them hire a Payroll Coordinator.

This is a Long Term Temporary Role. (about 4 months)

Work Schedule

  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

    Hybrid Schedule- IN Office Monday through Wednesday. Remote Thursday and Friday.

  • Heavy Processing Days: Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday and Tuesday



Team & Scope

  • 3-person payroll team

  • Supports approx. 700 salaried employees

  • Bi-weekly payroll runs


Key Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll with precision and timeliness

  • Handle payroll-related reports including new hire reports, W-2s, and audits

  • Review and reconcile year-end close

  • Manage employee leaves from a payroll perspective

  • Ensure compliance with national and state-specific payroll laws, including OT regulations

  • Coordinate with ADP for direct deposits, wage verifications, garnishments, and unemployment claims

  • Respond to last-minute issues and urgent payroll matters

  • Support year-end bonuses and stock issuance in February


Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday payroll system (required)

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with payroll processing for large employee bases

  • Familiarity with multi-state payroll laws

  • CPP certification is a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal downtime

$30-35 per hour (depending on experience).
