Key Responsibilities Of This Payroll Manager Position Include:

  • Supervise, support, and mentor one Payroll Specialist.

  • Oversee the full payroll cycle from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing for 400+ employees.

  • Maintain up‑to‑date payroll records.

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll requirements, tax rules, and internal control procedures.

  • Administer payroll changes, special payments, and reimbursements.

  • Review and process gratuities and supplemental compensation.

  • Generate payroll summaries, analytical reports, and reconciliation data for leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, business administration, or related field is a plus.

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience Payroll processing.

  • Proficientcy using Workday (preferred but not required).

  • Strong communication skills; Spanish is a preferred but not required.

  • Prior leadership experience overseeing payroll staff.

  • Strong understanding of employment laws at the federal, state, and local levels.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and report creation.

  • Excellent organization, accuracy, and commitment to confidentiality.
